SECO Energy, originally known as Sumter Electric Cooperative, Inc., is a not-for-profit electric cooperative founded in 1938. It serves over 250,000 homes and businesses across seven counties in Central Florida, making it the third-largest cooperative in Florida and the seventh largest in the nation. The cooperative operates 14,174 miles of energized line to deliver reliable electric service to nearly 500,000 consumers daily.
